Phoenix Restaurant Uses Ingredients from Tribal Farms |
As mentioned in Food & Wine:
Kai is a Phoenix restaurant with a mission. Serving an innovative menu of Southwestern dishes like blue corn-crusted chicken with chipotle-molasses sweet potatoes, and plantain-crusted pork tenderloin in mole with cactus salsa, Kai uses ingredients supplied by tribal farming communities. Tucson chef Janos Wilder consulted on the menu. Chef de cuisine Sandy Garcia is from the Santa Clara Pueblo. Kai is located on the Gila River Indian Community about 15 minutes south of downtown Phoenix. Exact address: 5594 W. Wild Horse Pass Blvd. (602-225-0100)
