The Year of the Rooster - 2005 Chinese New Year Celebration at the Rose Garden Restaurant

70 of us celebrated Chinese New Year at the Rose Garden. What a feast we had, eating for many hours, a true Slow Food experience. The menu included:
  • Peking duck
  • Fish maw chicken soup
  • Ginger and onion chicken
  • Cashew shrimp
  • Steamed whole fish with ginger
  • Braised enoki mushroom with silken tofu
  • Capital pork ribs
  • Braised shiitake mushroom with baby bok choy
  • Sizzling beef with black pepper
  • Almond cookies
