Friday evening, January 12, 2007
When What Where
5 - 7 pm Opening night dinner-reception at Elle.
The menu will have a chocolate theme with a number of mole dishes. Wines courtesy of Gallo Family Vineyards. Limited to 80 people.

8 - 9:30 pm Screening of Chocolat with Juliette Binoche, the mythical story of a chocolate maker with Mayan roots who is destined to wander from place to place. When she takes up residence in an uptight French Catholic village, the magic of her ancient art brings the inhabitants newfound joy and romance.

For munching during the movie, we will be providing chocolate-covered popcorn, chocolate shots and other goodies from Choc-alot, a premier Tucson chocolatier.

8 - 9:30 pm Screening of Babette's Feast, winner of 1987 Best Foreign Language Oscar, based on an Isak Dinesen short story, the film tells the tale of an ascetic community on the Danish coast whose austere traditions undergo an unexpected transformation when Parisian chef Babette spends all of her lottery winnings to prepare an extravagant French meal.
